Question of Population~

Population

1. How many children did your grandparents have? What about your parents? How may children do you (wnat to ) have?

Answer:

Actually, I have no idea about how much children my grandparents have. It is possible that over 5 children. One thing for sure, I know my parent have 3 children including me! If I have a plan of have children, I suppose I will have 2 children. ^^~

2. What is the population of your country? What impact does the population have on the quality of life there?

Answer:

The population in Taiwan is increasing every year. Now, it might over 23 million people in Taiwan. The problem could happen is the limited spaces to live. As we know, Taiwan is a small island that not as big as Canada or America. (Only 35,980 sq km). Therefore, if the population continues increasing in the following year, the problem of where people should live will more obvious and clear.

3. Has there been a significant population shift in your country from rural areas to urban areas? If yes, what are the consequences?

Answer:

Yes, we have this issue! As I mentioned before, when there is no spaces to live in the cities or some rural areas, people will move to somewhere outside the crowd and cause "Urban sprawl"! The consequences, of course, our environment would be destroyed and government has to speed huge proportion of country's finance on building public services such as schools and hospital.
